A garage of her own

I moved in December. Got a studio – in a converted garage – for the first time. No more squeezing into a room in a cramped shared household. My mom visited in February and liked the studio.

I like Gerlinde Brady’s networking class.

Summer plans include taking the Cisco CCNA exam, visiting Carrie and Avito – who have a baby I haven’t met, attending Cousin Tim’s wedding in Washington State, and looking into buying a mobile home – Anne’s aiding and abetting.

What, me take time off?

I’m getting a week off work. Last chance to have fun before school starts.

I might do some hiking or boogie boarding with Anne. Her partner Michael is moving in with her, and they’re doing well. My friends Arlene and Don are getting married very soon. And Christi and Brian are meeting the daily challenges of parenting their baby Miles. I’ve offered to babysit but what Christi seems to need more is listening time for herself. Miles is smiling a lot these days. Crying a lot too. It does seem challenging for parents to hear their baby cry. C and B are getting better at it though.

I’m feeling very single these days!

To school or not to school

I’m still at Cruzio, going through computer classes like a snail around a racetrack. I’m studying networking and Linux, both very relevant to an employee of an Internet Service Provider. I had two skilled and delightful teachers this past semester, Jim Griffin and Mikki Adams.

I’m taking the summer off from school though. Working full-time is enough right now, thanks!
