Music video: Singing Tesla coil

It’s a solid state Tesla coil and it wants to entertain us.

It’s been suggested that a good name for this coil would be the “Zeusaphone”. “Thoremin” has also been mentioned, though personally I think we need Theramin type inputs for that.

To answer a few questions I’ve received, YES, someone did yell “Play Freebird!” after the first round of music.

Save the large Internet Radio stations too

Save Internet RadioI knew the little guys were in trouble from the increased Internet radio royalties that loom on the horizon.

What I didn’t realize is that the big guys are under heavy pressure too. The RIAA now wants them to encode their streams to try to prevent them from being recorded.

“It’s something that the RIAA and Sound Exchange have decided: ‘Hey, we’ve got these guys, we got a gun to their heads. Perhaps we can box them in and force them to give us something that they have never been prepared to give us before’…
