About me

jessiHi! I’m Jessi Hance.

My life used to be all about the Web. I was (and still am) fascinated with all that makes the Web tick. I have loved gathering, writing, organizing, structuring, and publishing content in myriad ways.

Now my life is about libraries and people. I’m learning what makes libraries tick. If you find out what makes people tick, please tell me ;)

I relocated in 2013 from Santa Cruz, California, to the Seattle (actually South King County) area. Some things I loved in Santa Cruz are here too: farmers’ markets, libraries, and great music.

If you’d like to know a little of my backstory, you can read my earliest blog posts:

Easy peasy, Mike, note the Plugins Used Plugin in the list! I’m such a plugin…hound, shall I say. I actually trimmed them down recently, if you can believe it.

I was able to drop a Contact Form plugin when I noticed a theme that had a built-in contact page template. I copied from that and made one for my theme too. I prefer to load code only on the pages where it’s needed, so that was nice to figure out.
