Hey music lovers! I found out after the Orchestra Baobab concert that we’d all been there…here’s another hot ticket.

Habib Koité is here Tuesday at 8 pm. Jackson Browne and Bonnie Raitt are both fans – why not you? Take a look.

One of my last.fm friends says, “Habib!?!! you’re in for a real treat! tell me if he lifts a chair and then jumps on it while dancing??” One can only hope.

    This concert was pretty interesting =)
    Thanks so much for the invitation, i enjoyed the african music, especially since it was my first concert of this kind.

    I’m glad you enjoyed it, Diana, and I really look forward to the pictures!

    I have to admit, I still prefer a more danceable concert, like Orchestra Baobab does, but I thought the music was beautiful. Habib has a lovely and resonant voice. His guitar playing is unique. He’s not too shabby to look at either. ;-)

    No chair dancing, sadly. However, I was tickled by Habib’s one song in English. He expressed heartfelt concern and appreciation for the world. When he sang the line “I like technology, I like the Internet,” I couldn’t help a smile!
